Aquarius parents want their children to be both independent thinkers and obedient to their wishes. As a result, there can be a lot of mixed signals being given in this family. Some children may be born independent by nature, others need much more guidance, and the trouble is that Aquarian parents are not much good at recognizing these differences in their children.

The result is that they muddle along in a constant state of surprise at the problems their children create, and they are not adept at helping them find solutions. But what they lose in well-timed guidance they make up for in providing companionship to their children.
